‘Funday’ Colors, Tutorials, Freebies, and a Train Ride
Below are some sites that will help with designing with colors, and link you to tutorials, brushes, and freebies. I have not taken any type of design, or art classes so when I decided to start designing my own kits I searched the Internet for help. I also asked other designers for help, and searched tutorials. There is such an abundance of information out there for digital scrapbooking and just about any hobby you might enjoy. Anyway, here are some sites that have helped me, and I hope you walk away with some information that will help you as well.
www.color-wheel-artist.com/hue.html – The page that this link directs you to explains the difference between a Hue, Tint, Shade, and Tone. There are tabs on the left of the page with more information about colors. There are also a couple of freebies on the site.
www.albumstoremember.com/my-memories-tutorials – A lot of tutorials are done using programs like PhotoShop, Gimp, Smilebox, etc. Barb at Albums to Remember Designs has some tutorials using MyMemories Suite V5. So if the only digital program you have is MMS, this is a great site for you.
www.brushking.eu – BrushKing is a great site if you are into brushes, and how to use them. They have some free stuff, and some for sale. They also have PSD Files, and Tutorials. Be sure to check the TOU for each brush you download.
www.thedigiexpress.com – The Digi Express Blog Train is traveling along with lots of goodies in store. So head on over to the site and start collecting the kits. Our theme for June is “Here Comes the Sun!” Here is a preview.
Happy ‘Funday’! See you next week.
