Welcome, and Happy Funday! Nope – I didn’t miss-spell that.
For those who work; Monday is the most dreaded day of the week. It means the end of the weekend and the beginning of a long work-week. Well here at Meg Scott Studios we want to change the dreaded Monday into a “Funday”.
My name is Karen Diebolt and I have been on Meg Scott’s Creative Team for a few months. She recently added me as an administrator to her site, and the editor of Funday. I am looking forward to sharing something new with you each Funday and I hope you will share with me any suggestions or questions you might have – not only pertaining to scrapbooking but other crafting/hobby topics as well. I will do my best to answer any questions you have for me or send you in the right direction.
I have been crafting my whole life. I started with sewing at a very young age, and quickly moved to other crafts as my mother was always crafting one thing or another. Some hobbies I do/have done are; sew clothes and quilts, knit with a loom (I can’t seem to get regular knitting to work for me), garden, make designs for fabrics, teach computer classes, read, scrapbook designer, and genealogy. I love to try new things and share what I have learned with others.
You will find, as I have, that there are a lot of friendly, caring people in the digital scrapbooking world. I met Meg Scott through her website, and she has helped me with my adventure into digital scrapbooking, and she inspires me with her beautiful work.
Here are just a few things we have planned for Funday; tutorials, freebies, tips and tricks for scrapbooking – both digital and traditional or fun facts on just about anything. We might even surprise you with contests, quizzes, or any number of other fun ideas.
So be sure to join me every Funday to see what I have for you and to begin your week with some fun. But don’t stop there! Be sure to visit Meg Scott Studios everyday as I hear she has some exciting things happening throughout the week.
To kick off the first official Funday, I have three downloads:
1. A tutorial on how to Create a Custom Text Box (I used PhotoShopCS for this tutorial)
2. An Enchanted Colors Cluster Freebie (You can find the full kit here.)
3. A list of Digital Scrapbook Acronyms (to help the beginners)
Thanks for joining me today and I will see you next Funday!
